Women’s Suffrage Act
Safia Lakhani & Suzette Cedeno
We chose our topic Woman Suffrage because we were interested in how women earned their general rights and suffrage. We were intrigued in how our country developed and changed throughout the decades.
We conducted our research by visiting websites, online encyclopedias, and watched documentaries. We then proceeded to take notes on our notebooks to help us understand the major events during the women suffrage. Taking this step helped us organize our thoughts and ideas which proceeded to making the website. Once the website was made we had to synthesize and delete and thoughts that was repeated.
We selected our presentation by researching many people/thoughts that took a stand in the past years and that made a difference in many peoples’ lives. As we went on to research, we wrote our top options down and then selected from it. As we researched, we found the Women’s Suffrage Act and put it on our list of choices. We thought it was the right choice to make the Women’s Suffrage Act our projects because it makes a huge difference in our daily lives today and is truly taking a stand in what women believe. We chose our project type because we were interested in making a public project that can aid others who are researching Women Suffrage.
Our project on women suffrage relates to taking a stand because women weren’t just given the right to vote. Many events had to take place before they earned the suffrage right. This was taking a stand for women in United States as a whole. This also proves that our country has many flaws, but they are improved through time. It only takes a few people with a buring passion to change certain ways and improve our lives
